Pimpama State School shade structure installed by Versatile Structures

Pimpama State School

We are excited to share the details of the Pimmpama State School project with you and showcase our commitment to delivering high-quality results even in challenging timeframes.

At Versatile Structures, we take great pride in our reputation for completing projects on time, if not earlier than expected. However, the project we undertook for Pimpama State School required us to go the extra mile and work tirelessly to meet the tight deadline.

The project involved constructing a custom PVC membrane shade structure that covered an area of 225 m2. The structure was to be completed during the school holidays, which meant we had a limited window to work within. Additionally, the design of the structure featured a massive central post that required extensive engineering to ensure the structure could withstand the relevant wind speeds in the area.

Despite these challenges, our team, along with other contractors on site and the engineer, worked collaboratively to get the job done on time. We coordinated closely with the other stakeholders to ensure the project progressed smoothly, and our team worked diligently to overcome any obstacles that arose.

To construct the structure, we utilized Mehler Texnologies FR580, a high-quality PVC membrane fabric that is both durable and visually appealing. We chose a brand new colour for the structure - Laguna Blue - to provide a fresh and modern look that complemented the surrounding environment.

Pimpama State School has a rich history, opening on April 15, 1872. The school is located on Hotham Creek Road North, south of Ormeau, and has always placed a strong emphasis on providing a visually aesthetic and functional environment for its students.

The name Pimpama is of Aboriginal origin, with several versions of its translation. It is pronounced with the stress on the first syllable and a short 'a' in the second - PIM-pa-ma. The school's commitment to preserving and celebrating its history and cultural heritage is evident throughout the grounds, and we were honoured to be a part of that by providing a new shade structure for the students to enjoy.

At Versatile Structures, we are committed to delivering exceptional results on every project we undertake. We pride ourselves on our ability to overcome challenges and exceed our clients' expectations, and our work for Pimpama State School is a testament to this.
